Manipella was awarded the 2023 Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellowship to report in the field on the impacts of eco-textile and middle-tier crafts producers' role in the region’s socio-economic landscape of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her photography is shown below. Independently based abroad as a one-man band she blocked, shot, and directed a documentary for the project from pre-pro through post.
